<description>This book is filled with practical approaches to every aspect of sales management - from hiring and developing great salespeople, to setting up effective comp plans. The author writes in a direct, no-nonsense style, and includes numerous examples and anecdotes to bring his points to life. I especially liked some of the simple formulas and tools the author suggests for putting his ideas to work. Every sales manager - from newly promoted to proven veteran - can benefit from reading this book.

<description>Proactive Sales Management shows sales managers how to effectively manage their sales force, motivate the sales team, effectively coach and counsel the sales organization, reduce reports to one sheet of paper and 10 minutes a week and forecast more confidently. A must read for any serious manager who is planning to boost sales and performance.

<description>I attended and AMA class in Chicago several years ago on Sales Management that Skip taught. This book is the complete how to and how not to guide for any Sales Manger. The ideas taught in his class and in this book enabled me to lead my sales team from worst to first and keep them there! This is packed with a ton of easy to understand and easy to implement tactics to lead you to new levels of success. This is a must read for any sales manger who is not satisfied with the status quo of his teams performance.
